Coconut Beach Lodge is located not far from Mombasa. Due to its favourable location, only 15 minutes from Ukunda Airstrip – where flights from the Masai Mara or Nairobi arrive – a stay at the lodge is a perfect start or end to your Kenya trip!
Located directly on Tiwi Beach, the Coconut Beach Lodge offers a wonderful view of crystal-clear water and the unspoilt beach. You can expect newly renovated rooms and a sustainable lodge concept. The air conditioning is energy-efficient and the electricity and hot water are generated using solar energy. Tiwi Turtle Police. Learn interesting facts from the rangers. With a bit of luck, you can help release newly hatched baby turtles into the sea.
Excursions. Explore the Indian Ocean and its wildlife on boat trips! Snorkelling in Kinondo – a huge natural pool; Wasini Island – snorkelling & dolphin watching; snorkelling with whale sharks – a unique experience.
On the mainland, you can learn more about the local people, explore the history of slavery and Kenya’s stunning coastline and Wasili Island during the Swahili excursion.

Children. A very special week awaits children from the age of four at Coconut Beach Lodge. The Junior Club offers the following organised activities: fishing tour, mangrove boat tour, snorkelling tour, beach games, camel safari, workshops with the “Tiwi Turtle Police” project.
The lodge offers 18 rooms in different categories. These are divided into standard and superior rooms, with beach view or garden view. You can expect modernly designed rooms, characterised by African art and the blue tones of the Indian Ocean.

The Standard rooms are divided into ‘Beach View’ and ‘Garden View’. They are equipped with a double bed, wardrobe, desk & chair, fans, air conditioning, safe and en-suite bathroom. There is a cosy seating area on the veranda. From the ‘Beach View’ rooms you can enjoy a fantastic view of the turquoise-coloured sea. In the ‘Garden View’ rooms you sit under palm trees and look out over the lovingly landscaped garden.
The superior rooms are more spacious and offer more room. They have the same facilities as the standard rooms, but also have a cosy seating area. On the veranda there is another comfortable seating area as well as a day bed, where you can snooze and look out over the turquoise-coloured sea or the waving palm trees and the garden, depending on the ‘Beach View’ or ‘Garden View’ category.

A small wellness oasis right on the beach invites you to relax with a massage. You can also end the day in the jacuzzi on the beach, with a gentle breeze and the salty smell of the sea providing a wonderful backdrop.
As already mentioned, electricity and hot water are generated by solar panels. Furthermore, care is taken to produce as little waste as possible and to dispose of unavoidable rubbish properly. Enjoy a carefree stay at the Coconut Beach Lodge.
Tiwi Beach is located 35 kilometres from Mombasa Airport on Kenya’s famous south coast. It is only a 15-minute drive to the local Ukunda Airstrip. Various flights from the Masai Mara, Nairobi and many other locations land here daily, making it ideal for combining a stay at the beach with a safari.
